Ask Governor Hochul to Sign A.3665A/S.590A & end Mayoral “bumping”
Mayoral “bumping” is a longstanding loophole that allows New York City’s Mayor to suppress competing proposals from appearing on a ballot.
While A.3665A/S.590A passed through the New York State legislature, this anti-bumping bill requires Governor Kathy Hochul’s signature to become law.
The Commission supports A.3665A/S.590A and the work it would do to promote democracy and transparency in our local government.
Send this form to Governor Hochul and urge her to sign the bill to end mayoral “bumping” for good!
